What’s Happening At the Library

Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. – Toddler Storytimes, ages 3.5 and under meet for stories, songs and activities.
Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m. – Primary Reading Group, grades K-2 meet to read and practice literacy skills
Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. – Preschool Storytime, ages 3.5 to 5 meet for stories, songs and related activities.
March Monster Madness
Come in and vote for your favorite fictional creatures as they face-off through the month of March. The White Witch from Narnia versus the Wicked Witch of the West from Oz, Jack’s Giant versus the Big Bad Wolf – who will win? It’s up to you. Vote every week through the month of March and see if your literary monster beats the rest.
St. Patrick’s Day Craft
Saturday, March 13 at 11:00 a.m. – All ages, please register.
Chess Tournament
Thursday, March 18 at 6:30 p.m. – Ages 8 and up, must register.
Cartooning of a Wimpy Kid
Saturday, March 20 at 11:00 a.m. – Ages 6 and up, must register. Learn how to create and draw your own character.
Letterboxing
Thursday, March 25 at 6:30 p.m. – Ages 8 and up, must register. Learn what it is, make your own letterbox, and hunt down your first find.
Gardening for Wildlife
Thursday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m. – Kim Goggin of the Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences will present information about sustainable gardening. Gardeners will learn how to create gardens that attract beautiful wildlife and provide food, water, cover and a place for wildlife to raise their young. This helps restore habitats in commercial and residential areas. Everyone is welcome and refreshments will be served.
Library Knitters
Tuesdays from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. – Bring your current knitting project along with something to eat or drink, and we’ll all knit together! New members always welcome.

The Carver Public Library now has the Ancestry Library Edition database available on the computers in the library. Discover your ancestors with the world’s largest family history website. The Ancestry databases provide key tools for researching family genealogy including: Census records 1790-1930, US Immigration Collection, The Birth, Marriage & Death Records (SSDI), and the UK and Ireland Collections.
