Weekly Reading Groups
Toddler Storytime, ages 3 and under – Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Preschool Storytime, ages 3.5 to 5 – Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m.
Primary Reading Group, grades K - 2 – Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m.

May Flower Contest
May 1st is May Day, and the month is famous for flowers, so here’s a special challenge for you! Create and name your own flower and bring it to our garden by May 27. Anything goes - it can be painted, sculpted, or done with tissues, feathers, etc.- just be original & have fun. Check out the garden at www.coraline.com for some inspiration, you can design and print cool flowers right from the website!

Word Wizards
Thursday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m. – Ages 8 and up, please register. Match your word wits against others as you unscramble, twist and play with letters.

Mother’s Day Cards
Saturday, May 9 at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – All ages, drop-in. Make a wonderful card for a special woman.

Pajama Storytime
Thursday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m. – Ages 10 and under, please register. Kids come dressed in their PJs for stories, songs and related activities.

Make-it, Take-it Craft
Saturday, May 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – All ages, drop-in. Self-service craft table in the Children’s Room.

Big Screen Movie Night
Thursday, May 21 at 6:30 p.m. – All ages, rated G, BYO snacks. Come see a great “tale,” based on our 2nd place March Madness book winner!

Shaw’s Receipt Rewards Program
The Shaw’s Receipt Rewards Program has changed! The new name is Shaw’s Neighborhood Rewards and all your purchases will be automatically tracked after you activate your organization - The Carver Public Library! The new program will track purchases on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and the library will receive a check for 1% of our supporters’ eligible Shaw’s Reward Card purchases. We are no longer accepting receipts; instead, we hope our patrons will register their Shaw’s Rewards Cards to support the Carver Public Library. Information is available at the library and you can contact Amy at 508-866-3415 x19 with any questions or if you need help registering.

No Fear Audio Downloads
Thursday, May 14 at 2:00 p.m. - Audiobooks are all the rage for commuters, stay at home moms and senior citizens. Come and learn how to use the library’s subscription to free audiobook downloads. We will walk you through the steps of searching for an audio book, downloading the software to your computer, and uploading the book to your MP3 player or iPod. No fear, just fun! Thursday Night Page Turners
Thursday, May 14th at 6:30 p.m. – Come and discuss Pompeii by Robert Harris. The fast paced events in this historical novel lead up to the well-known eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. Join our group and meet people who love to read!
